Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP)

What it is

A cost-share grant, not a cash award to the business: Innovate UK part-funds a graduate Associate plus academic expertise embedded in your innovation project via a UK university, college, RTO or Catapult, which leads the application. SMEs are funded up to 67% of eligible project costs (large companies up to 50%); the business pays the rest. 2026–27 Round 3 is OPEN: it opened 13 Aug 2026 and closes 14 Oct 2026 at 11:00, with up to £12.5m available.
