Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 June 2026

1. Who we are

Owed is operated by Velra ("we", "us"), Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@govowed.uk. These terms govern your use of govowed.uk and anything you buy on it.

2. What Owed is — and isn't

Owed is an information service. It matches publicly available company information against a curated database of UK funding schemes and generates draft application text. It is not financial, legal, tax or investment advice, and Owed is not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We do not broker loans or any other credit. Matches are indicative: eligibility is always decided by the funder through its official application process, and schemes change without notice. You apply directly to funders — we never take a percentage of anything you win.

Company data comes from Companies House, which does not verify its accuracy. Check everything material before relying on it.

3. Purchases

Company report (£29, one-time): unlocks the full report for one named company — every matched scheme, eligibility reasoning, deadlines and drafted applications — including re-runs of that report for 12 months from purchase.

10-report pack (£199, one-time): ten report credits, each redeemable against any company. Credits do not expire.

Practice (£499/year, auto-renews): unlimited company reports subject to fair use of 250 distinct companies per year. Cancel any time from your account — cancellation is as easy as signing up and takes effect at the end of the paid period. We send a reminder before renewal.

Prices are in GBP. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see your card details.

4. Immediate supply & your cancellation rights

Reports are digital content supplied immediately. At checkout you expressly ask us to begin supply at once and acknowledge that, once supply begins, you lose the 14-day cancellation right that would otherwise apply under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Our refund guarantee applies regardless: if your report contains no schemes you are eligible to apply for, we refund it in full. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

5. Accounts & acceptable use

Keep your sign-in email secure — anyone with access to it can access your account. Don't: resell raw access to the service, scrape or bulk-extract the scheme database, attempt to bypass paywalls or rate limits, or use Owed for anything unlawful. Fair-use limits exist to keep the service fast for everyone; we may throttle or suspend abuse.

6. Drafts & intellectual property

Drafted application text is generated for you — edit it, use it, submit it; it's yours. The scheme database, matching engine and site content remain ours. Don't republish the database.

7. Liability

We work hard to keep scheme data current (each scheme shows its last-verified date), but we cannot guarantee completeness, that a scheme remains open, or that any application succeeds. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing limits liability for fraud or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. General

We may update these terms; material changes will be flagged on this page with a new date. These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and disputes belong to the Scottish courts — though if you are a consumer elsewhere in the UK you keep any mandatory protections of your home nation.
