What it is

12 months' employer National Insurance relief (up to ~£7,500) for hiring a veteran into their first civilian role.

NIC relief extended to 5 April 2028 (Autumn 2025 Budget). Zero-rates employer NICs on earnings up to £50,270 for 12 months — worth up to ~£7,500 per veteran. Veterans upper secondary threshold of £50,270 and category-V relief confirmed in HMRC's 2026-27 rates and thresholds (verified 2026-07-21).
