What it is
Year-round National Lottery fund for constituted artistic, creative and cultural organisations based in Scotland. Grants of £1,000-£100,000 for a specific project or production, creative research and development, a longer-term programme of work, or business/organisational development, lasting up to 18 months. No deadlines - apply anytime; projects whose primary purpose is commercial profit are unlikely to be funded.
Verified 2026-08-21 on creativescotland.com fund page (page states 'Fund open'; £1k-£100k; up to 18 months; open all year round with no deadlines; decisions ~10 weeks for £500-£20,000 requests, ~14 weeks for £20,001-£100,000). Fund is now officially named 'National Lottery Open Fund for Organisations' - the old URL/name 'Open Fund for Organisations' 404s, which is why prior records used a dead link. Restrictions the engine cannot express: applicant must be a constituted organisation (not an individual); Multi-Year Funded (MYF) portfolio organisations are NOT eligible per Creative Scotland FAQ; profit-first commercial activity unlikely to be funded. Creative Scotland ran an Oct 2025 survey on reshaping its Open Funds into 'Open Access Funds' - name/structure may change again.
