What it is

Loans, not grants - repayable finance of £25,001-£375,000 (smaller amounts from £10,000 considered) for charities and social enterprises based in Scotland with social impact at the heart of their mission. Term loans and bridging loans, secured or unsecured, at fixed interest rates, for expansion, asset purchase, capital projects or working capital. Starts with an informal conversation with an SIS Investment Manager - no deadlines and no investment committee.

Verified 2026-08-21 on the dedicated fund page socialinvestmentscotland.com/investment/sis-community-finance-fund/: loans £25,001-£375,000 with 'flexibility to consider smaller amounts, from £10,000'; term and bridging loans; fixed rates; secured and unsecured; eligible = charities and social enterprises based in Scotland ready to take on repayable finance. CORRECTION to prior records: the old £875,000 maximum was SIS's overall lending range across all products (homepage: loans £25,000-£875,000), NOT this fund - this product caps at £375,000. SIS also runs the separate Community ENABLE Funding programme. This is repayable finance and must never be presented as grant money.
